What is Remedial Massage
Remedial massage is a hands-on modality that aims to improve and aid in the repair of musculoskeletal aches and pains, injuries and postural imbalances caused by tension in the muscles or other soft tissue components such as fascia, tendons and ligaments.
Remedial massage has the ability to restore the body's own healing potential by balancing soft tissue length, reducing tension and improving our body's ability to heal by enhancing nutrient delivery to the affected site and removing waste products (i.e. damaged cells and scar tissue) via the blood and lymphatic system.
What is Myotherapy
The myotherapists at Advanced Remedial Remedies are soft tissue specialists. The soft tissue of the body refers to muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. Myotherapists will assess and treat pain and dysfunction in the body based on the effect these tissues have on patients presenting concerns or injuries; and also the effect that these presenting concerns or injuries may have on the soft tissue. Myotherapy treatment is directed towards the tissue structures to ensure that muscle quality is maintained to allow for optimal movement and function while aiding in pain relief and correcting body dysfunction which may be preventing the recovery of an injury.

Meet Juanita
Juanita is a highly qualified Remedial Massage and Myotherapist. She thrives off helping people feel better and looks forward to meeting all her clients.
Juanita first got inspired to do Massage because of her older sister, who has Cerebral palsy. A Remedial massage therapist would come once a week to treat her sisters condition. Juanita was able to see the benefits and the amazing results of loosened muscles and better breathing for her sister through this therapy. This inspired Juanita to go on to learn these techniques for herself to help others with the same chronic pain conditions as her sister.
Juanita also helps people with sport injuries, tightness, and other chronic aches and pains.
Juanita did all her training through Wodonga TAFE in Victoria, then worked with a Chiropractor for three years before moving to Central Queensland where she started working for Advanced Remedial Remedies in the Capricorn area, Kinka Beach. After a year and a half she now owns Advanced Remedial Remedies.
